The small car segment is getting much more interesting with the introduction of the Ford Fiesta, Chevy Cruze and now the Mazda2. Mazda officially unveiled the 2011 Mazda2 today at the LA Auto Show. The Mazda2 shares its platform with the Ford Fiesta, which is a good thing considering that the Fiesta is the best-selling car in Europe. The Mazda2 was originally launched in Europe and Japan a few years ago and at the time the media wished that Mazda would bring it to the US. Well our prayers have been answered. The Mazda2 will officially be available in the summer of 2010.
Mazda has unveiled what the Mazda2 will look like when it is released next year, but the automaker did not provide any details of what lies beneath the hood or the interior.
